Further local facilities can be found in the village of Great Barford (4 miles). Main facilities can be found in the towns of St. Neots (6 miles), Sandy (6 miles) and Bedford, which is known for its good schools (9 miles). Within easy driving distance are the cities of Cambridge (24 miles) and Milton Keynes (25 miles) The village is extremely well placed for commuting, with quick access to the A1/M1 link and just under 7 miles from St Neots Station (mainline to London) or alternatively 6 miles from Sandy main line station (45 mins to Kings Cross). Communications to the West have been vastly improved by the opening of the A421 Great Barford bypass. There are also further plans to dual carriageway the A421 all the way to the M1 (19 miles).

Equestrian - For hacking, an extensive network of bridleways can be found a few miles to the West.
